Our tea bags are made from PLA — a corn-derived plant material made from corn starch, free from nylon and conventional petroleum-based plastics. We use a non-woven PLA fabric filter, meaning the material is spun into a fine mesh structure rather than woven like traditional textiles. This allows for a smooth infusion while maintaining strength and heat resistance. The string is unbleached natural cotton with no dyes or coatings. The tag is thick paper embossed with our crest for a small sensory moment before the steep.
